The Expeditioners and the Treasure of Drowned Man’s Canyon

I chose this book for its steampunkish futuristic sci-fi and for the fact that it was sitting on the table right next to me when I was writing this. It’s about 4 kids who assault two semi-evil government officials and try to find a fortune in gold hidden in a hidden canyon, hidden in a hidden place in Arizona. This book is VERY steampunk in the sense of EVERYTHING is driven by steam engines. It’s very, very good and I’d give it 4.9 stars. It’s a bit similar to Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld in the sense that it’s futuristic and steampunk at the same time. *SPOILER ALERT STOP READING THIS POST UNLESS YOU WANT TO KNOW ONE MORE THING THAT IS A SPOILER ——> Kit’s father has made a sort of treasure hunt where each map, starting with the one they found in their father’s desk, leads to the next. END OF SPOILER ALERT*

  1. One other note: People who haven’t read the book won’t know who the character, Kit, is in your “spoiler alert.” It’s always a good idea to explain who someone is when you first use their name in a review.

  2. This book is great but please as a person who has read this book please write more, one paragraph does not do this book justice. Its a great review and please if you can write a book on the other book in the series.
