Human Nature

Humans can be brutal and beautiful at the same time. In The Book Thief, Death is baffled by human’s ability to be extremely cruel and extremely beautiful. An example of cruelty from that time is the Holocaust. No explanation needed. An example of beauty from the book is Hans Hubermann giving the Jews bread. Right now, with Trump as president (screw him), there is a lot of cruelty. More cruelty than beauty. I think that no matter how perfect the world and life is, there will always be a little bit of cruelty.
